Soggy Potato Chips did a completely awesome remix of Devastator, an ultra old 'sicles track, and it's currently available at The FuMP Sideshow for $0.

Gonna be in Madison tonight if people wanna do a thing.

    to skip across the water...
So, with Belgium and Beyond bouncing over to the back-burner, My '08 was left bereft of Pond Hopping extravagance.

and then Clyde goes and posts about the Glastonbury Festival going on in the UK, and suddenly getting out of the country this year isn't such a stretch of hope! so, I need to find out how much airfare will be (he has offered to cover festival tickets), and I think this can be made a reality! insane line-up of musicians, a chance to hit the UK again, and best of all, visiting to UK with My much loved and adored Clyde!

so, wish Me luck, I am definitely aiming to go!!!

    Peanut Butter Banana Bread
I had some bananas that were on the verge of death, and I'd come across a recipe for Peanut Butter Banana Bread somewhere on the internet... so I thought "why not!?" I was a little wary of the recipe I found, so I made some rather big changes. Here's what I came up with:

    Peanut Butter Banana Bread

and the winner is ... tree
tonight while bike riding through reed park i took a detour to avoid some questionable humans and got into a discussion with a tree.

    the discussion went like so:

me: hi, you're cute, come here often?
tree: dont fuck with me boy
me: no, tree, you are pretty. i want to touch you while i ride by you on my bicycle.
tree: oh no you didn't. im getting my thorns out on you, asshole.

it got me pretty good too, all bloody and scratched up on my right arm. i kept on riding all the way home trying to decide the best way to say "i got beat up by a tree".

moral of the story: trees win fights.

This is huge (if you're a geek)
SplashTop embedded Linux to come with every ASUS motherboard.

This is pretty huge, even if you aren't a geek.

Instant-on access to basic computing tools (email, web, productivity apps). No wait time for Windows to boot.

For those that don't know, ASUS is one of the biggest motherboard manufacturers (among other things). I've had an ASUS board in my last 5 PC's - they do quality products and they carry a big chunk of the market for non-OEM (i.e. not proprietary Dell and Gateway stuff).

If ASUS is going to embed this in every mobo they produce, that's a pretty huge pre-installed base of Linux that will be out there. People who know of Linux in it's various flavors and wouldn't normally bother will likely give it a spin (since it's instant-on).

This could be one more step in the path away from the bloated pig that Microsoft has allowed Windows to become. Windows Vista is pretty much a disaster. Hardly anyone who knows better has "upgraded" to the slow, incompatible (but "pretty") hourglass-generator that it is.

Mac has done little better with their move to UNIX, which was pretty buggy at first and had a lot of compatibility issues which alienated a lot of their long-time power users.

I'll definitely be looking forward to checking this out in a few years when I upgrade.

    what a time it is..
I am not just sleeping in because of the kidney infection. I am sleeping in because I have lost the desire to go outside again. People drain me. Why do you do it? I haven't asked you to?

i have read the written thoughts and troubles of 5 years ago tonight. some, at least.

I do not know, moving through this space & time, what to conclude - apart from this evolution is still rooted in the same hopes. The same fears. I am still so bitter inside it is almost unbelievable. I feel as if these days, i just cry less.

Whether that is a good or bad thing.. i have no idea.

    2013. We could be dead.

i had more, but the piano is filling my mind. it was about predispositions versus the possibility of finally finding truth and beauty by then. imagine that. will i ever meet people that stand the test. will i ever give everything to someone who truly deserves needs it..

    2013.

    Halfway Point
Forgive the lack of information. The days have been spent driving, rocking, sleeping, and repeating. With seven band members, most of which are myspace fiends, it's hard to keep all our journals, sites, and myspaces updated.

So far all the gigs have been awesome! I've been keeping a log with notes to rememer so that I can post an update when there's some down time. It's almost time for my shower. We hadn't had one in about two days and Steve was practically in tears. Obviously he's never been camping. :) We're halfway through our gigs now, four done and four to go!
