Damnit I missed another Arizona UFO sighting!
That's it.. Tonight I'm headin to the roof. It happend at 8:20pm last night.

	Neat... Before I moved here I heard that there was a lot of ufo type action seen here, but this is the first one I have heard of.. :) (Reply to this)

Dan and I saw them! We were driving home from picking up dinner and I looked over and saw a vertical strip of red lights. I looked and wondered what the hell it was but by the time we got to the house they were blocked by the buildings. Dan went out and took a peek and said they were going straight up until they dissappeared one by one. Weird.

Its my second sighting here. The other was a neon blue orb that dropped super fast down and then the whole sky filled with a flash bulb of white light and the orb was gone. That was a year ago way out in the desert. We were taking backroads to tucson for fun and saw it.

Turns out they weren't so mysterious after all. :( I was really hoping they were aliens.

By the way, Reznor's got, yet, ANOTHER new song out, with lyrics, on the radio called Discipline. His blog says "2 weeks!" and that's it. Last time he did that, Ghosts came out, so watch out for a new album or something like it. Really great song too, funky, danceable, catchy, and it's available for download on nin.com (there's a link that takes you to the dl site).

Did some new information come in? I heard the so called flares on balloons thing. If that is the case don't buy it.

I may not be an engineer but I know chemistry. NO way the heat of a flare, plus the weight, would be able to float for any period of time on a balloon. I could type all day about how impossible the flare balloon story is. As a scientist, the only way I can see that working is if an aerospace engineer was building it.

Those suckers were floating for a long time. Too long to be a combustable.

Yah, I did a little research on my own and contacted the manufacturer of a product called Sky Lanterns. He assured me that the Arizona April 21st sighting WAS in fact his Sky Lantern products, based on their flight behaviour and duration (in his opinion). Here's a link to their product

I think maybe that was the case, actually. Though I totally beleive in UFOs, glowing orb UFOs tend to fly in erratic patterns and at unbeleivable rates of speed. Not usually slowly upward and then fizzling out.

I'm still open to the possibility that this was a genuine UFO sighting, but about 80% that it might have been these Sky Lanterns.

Hmm I would have to check it out. I can see a product that would do it. :) Just not kids messing around lest we would have seen quite a few failed attempts before they were able to get them to hover over any period of time.

I still have zero explaination for that blue orb. It was huge and close and super fast. Pretty cool. Could be government stuff, but still pretty sweet.

	Haven't heard any new information as of yet, but I haven't hopped on azcentral yet. I was thinking the same thing you just said. But I thought they actually CONFIRMED it. Guess it's just another silly theory. (Reply to this)(Parent)
